Technical Event: Goulburn Valley Water – Shepparton Clear Water Storage Augmentation

Goulburn Valley Water is upgrading its water storage infrastructure with the construction of a new 36-megalitre clear water storage tank at the Shepparton Operations Centre, in Florence Street.
This important addition will increase clear water storage capacity by more than 40%, enhancing water supply security for customers across Shepparton, Mooroopna and surrounding towns.
The project is part of long-term planning to ensure the region has a reliable supply of drinking water into the future, especially during high demand periods or emergencies. The upgrade will benefit both residential and industrial customers, supporting population growth and regional development through to 2050.
Construction commenced in August 2025 and is being carried out by Leed Engineering and Construction, and is expected to be complete by late 2026.
