Challenger Valves and Actuators is one of a few remaining Australian owned and operated valve suppliers. The Challenger brand has been providing valving solutions since 1984. With warehouses in Perth, Brisbane, Newcastle and the main headquarters and warehouse located in Shepparton, Challenger Valves has built a rapport for supplying quality assured tested valves throughout Australia servicing sectors including water, mining, irrigation and power.
Their Range of valves include: Stainless steel ball valves, AS2638.2 WaterMark Sluice Valve, AS4795.1 Certified Quarter Turn Butterfly Valve, AS4794 Certified Swing Check Valve, MSS-SP-81 Knife Gate Valves and AS5081 Certified Cla-Val Control Valves for which Challenger is the sole distributer in Australia for Water and Fire products.
In addition to supplying valves, Challenger also offer strainers, gearboxes, pneumatic and electric actuation, valve accessories, valve extensions and expansion joints.
This year Challenger Valves was appointed by GMW to supply valves complete with electric actuators for the Connection Project.
The detailed presentations delivered by the director and area managers provided an insight into the range of valves Challenger stock or can procure for various applications.
The site tour offered the attendees the opportunity to view the in-house testing and assembly facility as well a walk through the warehouse and fabrication workshop.
